We are here to keep you on the road, court, field, track or in the pool and guide you successfully through injury to complete your event. We want to help you get better for whatever your goal is, be it to return to work, to function better in your day to day activities, train with your friends, walk your dog or compete at your first ever event or in the world champs.
We specialise in sporting injuries and those difficult chronic injuries that have failed to respond to treatment in the past. All our initial appointments involve a detailed questioning around your reason for coming and your injury history before a thorough assessment of your movement patterns, muscle strengths and flexibilities and joint range of motions. These tests will not just be of your problem area but all the areas of your body that can load or unload the problem so that we can find everything that can be worked on to fix you…faster.
Sports Injury Assessment
All our initial appointments involve a detailed questioning around your reason for coming and your injury history before a thorough assessment of your movement patterns, muscle strengths and flexibilities and joint range of motions.
Treatment will be based on the findings of the assessment and could be joint or neural mobilisations or massage or specific exercise prescription or all the above depending on the individual.
Muscle Balance Assessment
A muscle balance assessment involves testing and recording of the strength, the range of motion, the stability and the function of your body. These findings are then compared from side to side as well as to normal values. At the end of your muscle balance assessment we'll give you both a verbal and written summary. An individualised exercise programme to address the issues identified can then be drawn up. This written summary can be forwarded to your coach or personal trainer for them to incorporate into your training.
The session takes one hour and costs $155 with a follow up appointment costing $65.
(There is a discount for any MBA associated with an ACC covered injury)
